PC 40-40 “OptiMopti”
Basically, a PC 40, a PC 40-40 and a PC-AT are the same machine, just with different labels.
This unit here is not in stock condition. The original NBI 4200 80286 mainboard has been replaced with a 80386 board. Also, the HDD/Floppy controller has been replaced with a newer model as has been the hard drive.
Although we have an original NBI mainboard as well as an original HDD/FDD controller and the corresponding HDD as spare parts, we decided not to revert this machine to stock with our spare parts.
First, we have stock PC40s in our collection, and second, the machine has been a 386 way longer now than it was a 286, so the upgrades belong to the machine’s history and we decided to keep the history intact.
